The story of LYNN LANDON, a 40-ish country singer with her biggest hits in the past, comes to town — and after the show, picks up a nice-looking guy (RICK, 50) to spend the night with. Unknown to Lynn, Rick’s on a mission: having shared a night with her 20 years ago, he’s looking to see if the romance can be rekindled and go a lot further this time around — despite the fact that he has a wife and teenage daughter, CINDY. Miffed that Lynn still looks at him as only a one-night stand, he walks out, only to discover that Cindy has now tracked him down — and is ready to expose his infidelity. While Lynn’s first instinct is to steer clear of all this emotional baggage, she also recognizes more than a little of her younger self in Cindy — and elects to wade into the mess to see if she can contain the damage.
